Team Organization

Teams at all levels work best if many parents are involved. Many positions do not

require baseball knowledge so the reluctant parents have no excuse not to

participate. Listed below are some sample positions. One person can volunteer for

several positions. It is important that the volunteers actually perform their functions.

Bench Coach (make sure the on deck batter goes to the designated area for warm

ups on a timely basis - especially for T-Ball, Coach Pitch & Machine Pitch)

Treat Coordinator: Make a post game treat schedule, distribute it and remind the next

treat bringer to come prepared.

Picture Day Organizer

Two Coaches to help with practices

Equipment Coach

Phone Caller: Assisting with a phone tree or someone to call everyone on days of questionable

weather or other matters

Parent/Player activity organizer (a softball game may be a good choice or a trip to somebody's cabin or a trip to a Gophers, Saints or Twins game etc.)

Car Pool Coordinator: Someone to call if a child doesn't have transportation to a

game
