Baseball Volunteer Opportunity
Assistant Coach
The assistant coach helps the coach in games and at practices. Each team should have two or three assistant coaches. The assistant coach would serve as head coach in the event a head coach can not attend a game.
A well run practice should have one coach/assistant coach for every four children. The assistant coaches work with the kids to improve their skills. WESAC and the Mpls Park & Rec Board offer clinics to help teach the coaches the skills necessary to play a good game of baseball or softball. No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to help and be a positive influence on some kids, including your own.
