Equipment Check In
Each coach need to return equipment at the end of the season. Some coaches keep equipment for use over the winter, but only with permission from the commissioner. At the end of the season, the coahces bring their equipment back to the Kenewood Rec Center. Each equipment bag has a number on it.
This volunteer task involves checking off the master list each bag that gets returned. The equipment is unloaded and put onto the proper shelf. This volunteer also calls the coaches who have not returned equipment, and keeps bugging them about once a week until the equipment is turned in.
Checking in the bags takes about 30 - 45 minutes for the first two weeks and less time after that. The amount of phone calls depends on how dillegent the coaches are about returning the equipment. This process is done in August and Septmber, but can begin as early as June.
