Baseball Volunteer Opportunity
Pack First Aid Kits

WESAC Baseball found that commercialoly available first aid kits did not meet the needs specific to the types of injuries that occur on a baseball or softball field. We also could not find an affordable box in which to pack first aid supplies. As a result we wound up making our own first aid kits and packing them in cold drink picnic containers (crush proof, lightweight and water proof). During the season, some supplies are used. The coaches are invited to restock the kits during the year from the basement supply room, but it is likely that some of the kits nmeed to be refilled.

This volunteer activity does the following.

1) Empty all the lits and wash the containers.

2) Restock the kits with the listed supplies.

3) Label any kits where the label has worn off.

4) Return the kits and extra supplies to the Kenwood Rec Center basement supply room. If any kits are missing any items, make sure those are segregagted and identify what is missing.

The total time for this activity should be less than 3 hours and can be spread over several weeks. It needs to be completed before the player draft in late March.
