Baseball Volunteer Opportunity
Machine Pitch Summer Coordinator
WESAC likes to run a very low key series of pick up games in the summer for machine pitch aged children, and coach pitch player who will be playing Machine Pitch the following season. The Coordinator agrees to show up 15 minutes before the scheduled game, bring the bats & balls, set up the pitching machine, and recruit parents each night to help with the game. Teaching skills to the players is not the primary focus of the summer program so the coordinator does not have to be a baseball expert. WESAC will provide all the necessary training. Experience has shown that after a few weeks the program kind of runs itself so that if you need to miss a game, someone else will volvunteer to bring the equipment and start the game. The summer program starts after July 4th and generally runs through the middle of August, though some years it has continued into the fall.
