Baseball Volunteer Opportunity
Shoe Exchange Coordinator
Children playing Machine Pitch and older really benefit from using baseball shoes (NO METAL CLEATS ARE ALLOWED IN ANY DIVISION). Children tend to grow and shoes often only fit for one season. Shoes could be donated to WESAC and dsitributed (or perhaps sold for a few dollars to raise additional funds) to player who need shoes. Shoes could also be provided free to our fee waiver children.
The volunteer for this effort would create a process for dropping off and picking up shoes, probably from the shed behind the Rec Center. This volunteer would also be responsible for advertising the exchange program, organizing the inventory and weeding out poor quality shoes. This effort would consume a few hours in April and again at the end of the season.
