Greetings by Carole Megarry, Jan DeNoble & Julia Philips Communal Singing led by Conrad deFiebre & Dianne O’Donnell Lao Tzu# 14 followed by 5
minutes of silence Look, and it can't be
seen. Listen, and it can't be heard.
Reach, and it can't be grasped.Above, it isn't bright. Scripture Someone in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, tell my
brother to divide the family inheritance with me." Sermon by Pastor Walter Lockhart Special Performance by Kent Eklund Circle with Joys & Concerns

Below, it isn't dark. Seamless, unnameable, it returns to the realm of nothing.
Form that includes all forms,
image without an image, subtle, beyond all conception. Approach it and there is
no beginning; follow it and there is no end. You can't know it, but you can be
it, at ease in your own life. Just realize where you come from: this is the
essence of wisdom.
But Jesus said to him,
"Friend, who set me to be a judge or arbitrator over you?" And he
said to the crowd, "Take care! Be on your guard against all kinds of
greed; for one's life does not consist in the abundance of possessions."
Then Jesus told them a parable:
"The land of a rich man produced abundantly. And he thought to himself, 'What should I do, for I have no place
to store my crops?' Then he said, 'I
will do this: I will pull down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will
store all my grain and my goods. And I
will say to my soul, 'Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax,
eat, drink, be merry.'
But God said to him, 'You fool!
This very night your life is being demanded of you. And the things you have
prepared, whose will they be?'
So it is with those who store up treasures
for themselves but are not rich toward God."
