The Peace With Justice Committee, prior to select working to pass the affordable health care amendment, reviewed proposal sfrom its members in order to decide what project(s) the committee should work on both long and short term. The following project were proposed. Others will be added.
Supporting the organizing effort by employees of the Walker Nursing Home
Get CP Rail and BNSF to change the herbicides used in weed control in NE & SE Minneapolis
Constitutional amendment to guarantee affordable health care to Minnesotans
Guarantee every child in Minneapolis loving, affordable child care
Create Coldwater Spring Green Space
Work with People of Color (an organization) to promote single payer health care
Eliminate/Reduce the presence of military recruiting in area high schools
Get Alliant Techsystems to stop production of weapons of war, especially those containing depleted uranium.
Survey and interview each member of Walker to find out what peace with justice activities they support, currently work on or would like to help with
